Heading westward, you reach Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, spiritually overseen by the Panchen Lama. The day’s highlights include the striking Yamdro tso Lake, resembling a coiling scorpion with its deep blue waters, and the impressive Kumbum Monastery in Gyantse, famous for its 35m-high Chorten with a golden dome.

You’ll then cross Tsola Pass (4600M) and Gyatsola Pass (5248M). At Gawula Pass (5180m), witness a breathtaking panorama of the Himalayas. The day concludes with an exciting drive along the zigzag road to Everest Base Camp, where, weather permitting, you might witness the sunset over the golden peak of Everest.

Day 10: Everest Base Camp to Gyirong Border

Day 11: Departure from Gyirong to Nepal Border

In the morning, your guide will help you with the exit procedures from China. You will be seen off at the border with Nepal. Please note that transfers from Gyirong to Kathmandu are not included in the package and can be arranged at an additional cost upon request.
